CPPF Nature Talk – Mountain Lions A lecture is held in association with the monthly meeting of Caspers Park Preservation Foundation (CPPF) volunteers. This month, OC Parks Senior Ranger Donna Krucki will talk about her long involvement with UC Davis cougar tracking studies ("http://www.vetmed.ucdavis.edu/whc/scp/mnt_lion.htm") which monitor the movements and habits of mountain lions in the Santa Ana and San Diego Mountains. Join her to learn more about the natural history of our largest local felines. Bat Walk What kinds of bats live at The Conservancy? Take a night walk with bat biologist Stephanie Remington to find out! Ms. Remington has surveyed Orange County bats in habitats ranging from suburban neighborhoods to wildlands. You will experience “bat detectors” which convert ultrasonic bat sounds to frequencies audible to humans, as you learn more about the natural history of bats.
