Every month, a lecture is held in association with the monthly meeting of Caspers Park Preservation Foundation (CPPF) volunteers. This month you can join a guided tour of Nature Center displays. Learn which local owls never hoot, distinguish animal visitors from permanent residents, and more! Lecture start time approximate, follows the business portion of the meeting, which starts at 9:30a.

For years, the stars have been considered heaven's guideposts. Observers looked to the night sky to predict everything from a change of weather to a change of leaders. Enjoy an evening outdoors, as you gaze into the heavens, learn the constellations, and peer through the telescopes of our volunteer astronomers. Get up close and personal with Tarantulas! We'll be on the lookout for sexually mature male tarantulas making their annual late summer search for females. Guest host Lee Shoemaker will also lure nocturnal insects with black-lights, which use an ultra-violet frequency spectrum these creatures find irresistible. (LEVEL: Moderate. BRING: Flashlight.)

Join us at the Conservancy for a beautiful day where you will stretch your mind and body on this leisurely 1.5 mile walk with a yoga twist. We will visit our Mother and Sister Oaks while we enjoy this morning yoga walk.

Visit The Conservancy's booth at the 13th annual "Character Counts!" Jamboree. This family-oriented event is held at a local school, and features 75 booths, including food, a children's health fair, other displays and performances every half hour.
